Now You have Your own power plant!

This means you need to know how to operate it, and also to learn it's limitations.

What you need to learn and know:

Your appliance usage patterns will need to be adjusted according to your battery capacity and the amount of sunshine for the day - you do not have unlimited access to electricity like being on the grid. If you have a budget system this step is even more important.

You need an internet router on-site that stays on, and your system needs to be programmed to connect to this router, that way you can monitor your system using your phone and also, I can monitor your systems health and apply software updates to your system remotely. If you do not have any land based broadband service, get StarLink.com - I use it and it is affordable and reliable internet.

You need to know how to charge your batteries using your generator - click here for instructions. Sooner or later you will need to do this. If you are connected to the grid, you only need the generator when the grid is down.

Practice using your generator to charge your batteries.
Monitor your battery state of charge with the app on your phone - especially during periods of low sunshine.
Look at your Inverters LCD screen and familiarize yourself with the information being presented - knowing how to read that screen will give you confidence if you have an issue. Read the manual.
Do not attempt to modify your system (or modify settings!) without contacting Kai first, this will save you money and frustration - avoid down time!
